Welcome to this Web site about my law practice.

I am a solo practitioner in St. Louis, Missouri. I am building this Web site to provide information about my law practice.

I practice law in Missouri as a solo practitioner so I can control my law practice--especially the number of cases I handle at any one time. Solo practice allows me to represent my clients the way I would want my lawyer to represent me if I needed a lawyer.

Most of my legal experience has been in criminal law as a criminal defense lawyer. I help people at one of the most difficult times in their lives: when they have been accused of a crime. From time to time, other lawyers have asked me to assist them as local counsel in civil and criminal cases in Springfield and St. Louis.

In addition to the trial work I have done, I have a substantial amount of appellate experience. I have prepared briefs and argued appeals in the United States Court of Appeals (Seventh and Eighth Circuits), the Missouri Supreme Court, and the Missouri Court of Appeals (Eastern, Western, and Southern Districts). I am admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, and I have filed petitions for writs of certiorari on behalf of indigent individuals in federal criminal cases.
